Cast iron baseboards are a heavy-duty alternative to common baseboards, suitable for a full range of applications - residential, rental, commercial and institutional.
Standard baseboard heaters have very little thermal mass and rely almost entirely on convection to heat the space. With cast iron baseboard, being much heavier and having a much larger thermal mass, both convection and radiation (radiant heat) heating methods are employed, resulting in a much smoother and more comfortable space heating. Note 1: all models except 1ft, 1.5ft and 2ft lengths are comprised of 2 or 3 factory-assembled sections (example: 3.5ft baseboard is a 1.5ft + 2ft sections connected together, 6ft baseboard is 2+2+2, etc.) Note 2: we only stock lengths up to 6ft, but also offer the sections separately, as well as all parts, tools and components for making any desired length - 8ft, 10ft, 14ft, etc.
