Oatey brass shower drain for pre-formed shower pans/bases and shower stalls (fiberglass, acrylic, etc.) from manufacturers such as Mustee, Kohler, MAAX and others. Drain connection is 1-1/2" FIP (female NPT), allowing to connect threaded drain pipes. Locknut style design allows to pre-install the drain on the shower pan and position the latter directly over the pipe. Comes with a stainless steel snap-in strainer and also compatible with Oatey Snap-Tite strainers in other finishes. Brass drain body and locknut are sturdier than PVC and are not subject to cracking from over-tightening.
