The Sioux Chief is a 1/2 Inch MIP Hydra Rester is a  piston-type closed-atmosphere vacuum breaker arrester shall be required where the piping system is subject to cavitation on the non-pressure side of a quick closing valve. Vacuum breaker arrester shall be effective when installed at any angle, and with no access panel required. Vacuum breaker arrester shall be sized and placed per manufacturer's instructions.

• All Hydra-Resters are made from no-lead components and are California AB 1953 compliant
• FBC system compatible

To prevent cavitation and accompanying water hammer within the extra-long tub spout tubes and/or shower risers of high-flow fixtures, such as garden tub valves and multi-head shower valves

Unlike atmospheric vacuum breaker devices that can leak or spit, the VacuRester’s™ “closed atmosphere” chamber serves as a short duration vacuum breaker without the chance of leaks
